Garden Birds

There is a stillness outside this morning, it's very cold and grey but the birds are chirping loudly, perhaps to keep themselves warm. So far today I've seen blackbirds, blue tits, coal tits, robins, magpies, wrens, wood pigeons and a lesser spotted woodpecker but we often have long tailed tits, red kite, seagulls, nuthatches and even redstarts although that was rather unusual.

Apart from the birdlife, we have had foxes, muntjac deer, squirrels, hedgehogs and even a pheasant too.

Last week I found a tiny primrose, determined to beat the rest, squashed between the wall and the path.

There are plenty of trees around all waiting for the right time.

Baby birds are being fed  - only woolly ones though!

Keep cosy :-)
